The Details
-
April and May are the warmest months in San Miguel. Afternoons typically reach the high 80s, while evenings cool comfortably into the 60s after sunset. It’s not quite Texas heat, but the sun is strong. Breathable fabrics, sun protection, and layers for evening are key.
-
San Miguel leans polished and understated in its style. You’ll see linen separates, tailored slacks, and women in chic sundresses. Footwear is both fashionable and practical. Stylish sneakers and supportive sandals are common, with Birkenstocks widely embraced. Evenings tend to feel elevated but relaxed.
Nights cool quickly, so light layers are essential. Leather jackets, denim jackets, or an elegant wrap or cape are perfect once the sun sets.
-
San Miguel sits at over 6,000 feet above sea level. You may notice the altitude, especially combined with sun and cocktails. Hydrate well, take it easy the first afternoon, and don’t skip sunscreen.
-
While many shops and restaurants accept cards, it’s helpful to carry some pesos for markets and small purchases during the scavenger hunt. We recommend getting pesos from the ATM when you arrive at the airport. There are 2 banks next to the church and 2 more in the surrounding blocks. *Special tip: always hit “decline conversion”.

Please download the Let’s Roam app before flying to Mexico as it will be used for the scavenger hunt.
